Wi-fi setup is a very long nightmare By Ann Winschel on June 2, 2018 Color: Red
I suppose that once I get the wi-fi setup I will like using this camera to take pictures. But I don't actually know because you can't use the photos taken with this camera unless you can set up the wi-fi connection. To set up the wi-fi connection on an iMac has about six billion steps. Which are not all documented clearly even though there are multiple videos and help pages that you have to access to find all the instructions. Plus email messages from the help staff. Multiple downloads and installations. With so many password creations and entries that I have lost count. Misleading file names. Then their system was taken down for maintenance in the middle of the setup and the whole thing became impossibly tangled. Unless you love being lost in a twisty maze of little passages I recommend you try something else. There has got to be a better way to do this. I wanted to take photos and use them, not spend hours and hours over days and days trying to get the thing to just work - vlogging camera under 100.
Worst camera I've ever owned By Gia on April 18, 2017 Color: Black
I bought this about 5-6 weeks ago for a trip I just returned from. This camera takes horrible photos! All of the photos look bluish. If I wanted a blue hue, I would have bought a Cool Pix camera. My old Canon SD1400 takes better photos than this one. How this got high reviews, I have no idea. I compared the photos side by side, using the same "positive film" setting and this SX620 all look blue against the SD1400. I have blue forests from my vacation. The photos are junk, and i started using my cell phone a couple days into the trip.
Now i am out $300 and I'll never buy another Canon camera ever again. What a complete waste of money
Good as a paperweight By Dils on September 21, 2017 Color: Black|Style: Base
Got this camera as it fits in my pocket. Did not use it quite often, but when I started using it, noticed that the images were very grainy. Complained it to Canon Support and they mentioned it is a hardware issue. They replaced the camera with another one. I continue to see the images as grainy. I use this as a paperweight now. My cell phone camera takes better pictures. Why bother carrying this camera at all?
Do not buy this camera. It has a micro ... By MK on October 1, 2016 Color: Black|Style: Base
Do not buy this camera. It has a micro USB slot but cannot be charged using a Micro USB cable. One has to take the battery out. (as per Canon support). I find it very cumbersome to carry a separate wall charger for a camera. When traveling, the camera typically lasts thru a day and I charge it using my phone or another micro USB charger. Will post later on the photo quality.
My First Disappointment from Canon By Amazon Customer on August 27, 2017 Color: Black|Style: Base|Verified Purchase
First Disappointment from Canon....I've been using Digital cameras since they were introduced with 1 megapixel. I have used Olympus, HP, Fuji, Nikon, and a few others. Have experience DSLR too, but sick of dragging it around. So I wanted to go compact.
I once had a Canon SX110 about 8 yrs ago, and it makes this model sick.
Sorry Canon,There is no quality what so ever in this model. That Goes for the picture quality which is nill in low light plus it feels cheap in design.
The camera was just delivered 10 minutes ago. Can't ... By bryan on July 20, 2016 Color: Black
The camera was just delivered 10 minutes ago. Can't give a review as to the quality in that the camera did not come with a memory card. I am sure if I spent time reviewing everything in the description I would find that fact. But don't you think it should be noted prominently. Oh, and did I mention it does not come with a usb cable to transfer your pictures to your computer. No big deal as I have an old cannon camera and have the accessories. Maybe not false advertising but disappointing from a sale from Amazon even though sold by a 3rd party vendor.
Nice hardware, poor software. By piXelicidio on December 26, 2017 Color: Black|
Is a great camera but I am disappointed by the lack of useful options that we have with older Canon cameras.
The fact that I can't select the focus mode to the center is frustrating. Also can't select macro mode when auto mode is selected. Hard time getting used to this
Disappointed I can't use via computer By Raftman on July 24, 2016 Color: Black
Disappointed I can't use via computer. Wanted to capture animals from my computer using the camera in another room. Documentation implied I could but have found no App to allow me to do so. So effectively just another camera!!
Good camera, but focus system is lacking. By Akita on August 17, 2016 Color: Red
The camera works well and has a great zoom capability. The autofocus is fast but not as accurate as my SX610. It miss-focuses more often than the SX610, when sighted on the same object at the same zoom level. Also the SX610 will focus on an object at a noticeably higher zoom level than the SX620 will, on the same object from the same distance. This was tested using only optical zoom, digital zoom turned off.)
The SX620 is slightly smaller and takes a different battery than the SX610. Aside from the focus issues mentioned above, I like the camera and after having thought about it for awhile, decided to keep it.
CAN NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO DELETE PICTURES - GOOGLE SAYS THERE IS A TRASHCAN - I SEE NO TRASHCAN By Larkspur on October 20, 2016 Color: Black|Style: Base|Verified Purchase
This 82 year old is trying to learn Kodak of many years stopped working. Professional children and grandchildren could help . but none live near. Living by the woods the zoom is perfect when I learn exactly how to use - vlogging camera with flip screen.
Sorry I need some personal instruction. My son in Thailand has this camera and on his next visit he will tutor is mom
Good - my memory card in Kodak fit camera, also cable for Verizon account and went to Radio Shack and bought another cable for $20. Wish image of part names was larger but I am taking to copying store to have a larger image to help me.
